The lifeguard drama was a hit with many, and it rescued the careers of many a hopeful star desperately in need of their big break in television, including former Playboy playmates Erika Eleniak and the young Pamela Anderson. It also boosted the career of David Hasselhoff, who needed another hit show after the cancellation of Knight Rider.
But what happened to the Baywatch actors after their skimpy beach costumes and rescue boards were packed away for good? Let’s take a brief look at the lives of some of the more popular actors from the show.

David Hasselhoff (Mitch Buchanan)
Hasselhoff played lifeguard head honcho Mitch in all 11 seasons of the show, and he has rarely been off our screens since. In the years following Baywatch, he has acted in movies and television shows developed a singing career, and hosted a TV talent show. His life hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows, however. After his career started to slide he needed treatment for alcoholism in 2007, and in 2016, a messy divorce left the actor broke. However, you can’t keep The Hoff down forever, and thanks to his varied career path, he now has a net worth of $10 million. Today, he is happily married to model Hayley Roberts and continues to act and sing.
Jeremy Jackson (Hobie Buchanan)
Jackson famously played Mitch’s mischievous son, Hobie, for nine seasons of the show, but in real life, his mischief has been far more troubling. In 2008, he was involved in a sex tape scandal with po_rn star Sky Lopez. He tried to make a TV comeback in 2015 with Celebrity Big Brother, but he was kicked out of the show after a drunken incident. And in 2017, he was jailed for 270 days after being charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Jackson’s life has been beset with career and addiction problems, but today he has seemingly pulled himself together and is now a prominent figure in LA’s fitness scene.
Pamela Anderson (CJ Parker)
Anderson played blonde bombshell CJ in five seasons of the hit show, and she then went on to star in a number of other TV series, and a handful of movies. Unfortunately, one of these movies was a homemade one with her then-husband Tommy Lee, and the sex tape she made became more popular than her Hollywood films, which included Barb Wire and Scary Movie 3. After a number of relationships, the actress and former model is now single, though she keeps herself busy. She continues to prove herself as an animal rights activist and lends her voice to a number of other worthwhile causes.

Erika Eleniak (Shauni McClain)
Eleniak left Baywatch after season 3, but she continued to act in both TV and film. Her most prominent movie roles were in Under Siege and The Beverly Hillbillies, both made in the years immediately after leaving Baywatch in 1992. Her later films have largely been low budget affairs, although bit-part roles in CSI: Miami and Desperate Housewives did much to bring her into the spotlight again. In recent years, she has largely been seen on reality TV shows, including Celebrity Fit Club, although she still has other movie projects in the pipeline.
Yasmine Bleeth (Caroline Holden)
Former Playboy model Bleeth’s role on Baywatch brought her widespread attention and this earned her other television work after she left the show after season 4. She also continued her modeling work and launched her own line of swimwear. Sadly, battles with cocaine addiction derailed the actresses’ career, and she now looks very different from the person she was during her Baywatch days. However, she did find love while in rehab, so while she hasn’t acted since 2003, her life has reportedly improved because of her marital relationship.

Gena Lee Nolin (Neely Capshaw)
Nolin joined Baywatch in 1995 but left in 1998 to star in the show Sheena. The former Playboy model hasn’t had an illustrious acting career, though she did reteam with The Hoff when she played herself in the 2017 comedy Killing Hasselhoff. After having her third child in 2008, she was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. She battled it bravely, however, and turned her attention to writing because of it. Her 2013 book, Beautiful Inside and Out: Conquering Thyroid Disease with a Healthy, Happy, “Thyroid Sexy” Life, landed at #1 on Amazon and Barnes & Noble Top 5 Health Books. Today, she lives with her husband, former NHL star Cale Hulse, and her 4 children.
Alexandra Paul (Stephanie Holden)
The actress starred in five seasons of the show but left in 1997 after her character was killed by lightning. She has had a long acting career since, with roles in the TV show Melrose Place and a number of television movies. Aside from her acting work, Paul has become well-known for her political activism, and today she continues to support others, both in her charity work and through her wellness coaching business.
David Charvet (Matt Brodie)
