As indicações ao Critics Choice Super Awards 2020 já foram divulgadas e Sonic The Hedgehog conquistou quatro vagas.
Jim Carrey who played the role of antagonist Dr Robotnik in the movie expressed his gratitude to the Critics Choice Association for this recognition. This is the first incarnation of the Critics Choice Super Awards which will be organized completely virtually owing to pandemic restrictions.
Sonic The Hedgehog, which was the last big-budget Hollywood tentpole to receive a theatre-wide release in February 2020, is critically the most acclaimed video game movie adaption after Ryan Reynolds starrer Detective Pikachu in 2019.

Carrey had also been active behind the camera, serving as executive producer on Showtime’s I’m Dying Up Here.
