In 2015, Brie Larson starred in a movie called Room. The movie is about a girl who gets kidnapped in her early teenage years and gets trapped in a bunker by her kidnapper. While in captivity, she gets pregnant and gives birth to a son. As her son gets a little bit older she begins to plot a way to escape and regain her freedom along with her son. She comes up with a brilliant plan and creates a way for her and her son to escape.
9 Kong: Skull Island – 2017
Brie Larson starred in Kong: Skull Island in 2017. The movie is considered with an action and a thriller and runs for about two hours. It is about soldiers and scientists who get together with adventurers to make their way through a mythical island that has not yet been explored by mankind. While they are there, they run into the mighty Kong and must fight for their survival.
8 Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World – 2010
This action-comedy movie was released in 2010 and it is about a boy who falls in love with a girl who has seven evil exes. He has to fight all of her exes off in order to pursue a future relationship with her. In the movie, he starts out having unresolved feelings for his ex-girlfriend, played by Larson. He is able to find a distraction in life by fighting off the evil exes of his new love interest.
7 21 Jump Street – 2012
Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are the leading actors in 21 Jump Street, an action-comedy that was released in 2012. Brie Larson is one of the side characters from the movie who falls for Jonah Hills’ character. Even she is eighteen years old, he still isn’t supposed to get involved with her romantically. Her role in this movie isn’t the biggest but she is still obviously noteworthy enough to mention.
6 Short Term 12 – 2013
This 2013 movie is considered a drama as it follows the life of a counselor who works at a California Center for kids who are in crisis. The kids she works with need a lot of help, guidance, love, and attention.

5 Just Mercy – 2019
Michael B. Jordan is the leading actor in this movie about race relations, racial inequality, and the imbalance of African-American men in prison in the prison system. He plays a Harvard lawyer who moves to Alabama in order to fight for the release of a wrongfully condemned prison inmate. He works alongside Bre Larson’s character to fight for justice. This movie is very empowering.
4 Trainwreck – 2015
This Amy Schumer movie is a hilarious comedy that was released back in 2015. It isn’t just a normal comedy though… It is definitely classified as a romcom. Amy Schumer’s character does not believe in true love or monogamy so she is keen on maintaining a life of promiscuity. Eventually, she realizes that she has to change her ways and settle down with the person who is right for her
3 The Glass Castle – 2017
In 2017, The Glass Castle was released. It is classified as a drama and runs for a little over two hours. It is about four siblings who have to take care of themselves because their parents are not able to take care of them in the way that they are supposed to.

2 The Spectacular Now – 2013

Brie Larson has a smaller role in this movie as the male main character’s ex-girlfriend but once again, she is still obviously worth mentioning. And this movie, too unlike personalities end up intertwining and falling for each other in a way that they never have experienced before.
